Credits & refunds

How credits, prices, payments and the platform fee work in VFX+ Studio, and when money can and cannot be returned.
1. A prepaid wallet
Each studio has one wallet of credits, loaded in advance from Buy credits. Every paid action takes credits from it. When the wallet cannot cover a job, the job does not start; there is no credit line. A new studio starts with 0 credits.
At the standard rate, 100 credits cost US$1. A studio with a written agreement on other rates is charged at those rates. Credits never expire.
2. The price before every action
- Before anything that costs credits runs, the studio sees its price in credits and confirms it.
- Credits for a job are held when it starts and charged for what it actually made, never more than the price you confirmed. Any part of the hold not used goes back to the wallet.
- If the price changes after you saw it, you are shown the new price and asked again.
- Every charge is listed in the studio's billing history.
3. When a job fails or is refused
If the model refuses or fails a job before doing any work, nothing is charged and the held credits go back to the wallet. If the model did the work, the job is charged even when the result is then refused by a safety check, or fails or times out after the model accepted it, because we are billed for that work too.
4. Paying and who bills you
- Studios billed in India pay VFX+ in Indian rupees (INR). GST at 18% is added to the price and shown on a tax invoice.
- Studios billed anywhere else pay VFX+ in US dollars (USD); we add no sales tax, VAT or GST; any tax your own country charges on the purchase is yours to pay.
- Which company bills you follows the billing country in the studio's billing details. Credits are priced in US dollars; a payment in rupees uses the exchange rate shown before you pay, which is kept with the payment.
- You can pay online where it is offered, or by bank transfer and the other methods Buy credits lists. Credits are added once the payment is confirmed: at once for an online payment, after our team checks a bank transfer or other manual payment.
5. Plans and monthly minimums
Create, Ads and Director are pay as you go: you pay only for the work you run in them, from credits you have loaded.
Production and Micro Drama have a monthly minimum of US$199 for each user in the studio. The Team plan has a monthly minimum of US$399: a base of US$199 and at least 4 seats at US$50 each, with each further seat US$50 a month.
A monthly minimum is not a charge on top of your work: it is paid into the studio's wallet as credits of the same value, which never expire. It is due on the 1st of each month (India time); the first month is prorated to the days the plan was on, and seats added during a month are prorated too.
If a month's minimum is not paid, the studio is paused: its people can still sign in, view and download what they made, but no new work can start until it is paid. Production, Micro Drama and the Team plan are switched on by our team at the studio owner's request.
6. Refunds
Credit purchases are final. We do not refund credits, used or unused, or pay them out as money, including when an account or studio is closed, except where the law requires us to.
Mistakes in a payment are different, and we put them right: if you were charged twice, or a payment was taken but no credits were added, write to hello@vfx.plus with the payment reference and we will add the credits or return the extra payment to where it came from.
7. Disputed payments
If you think a charge is wrong, write to hello@vfx.plus first; most problems are solved quickly. If a payment is disputed or reversed with your bank or card issuer, we may take the credits it bought out of the wallet and pause the studio's paid work until the dispute is settled.
